Fast-moving mud flowed out of Sunset Canyon in Burbank, California, on Thursday, December 6, as a major storm moved into Southern California bringing heavy rains along with snow in higher elevations. Streets and highways were closed in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties and surrounding areas as mud and debris rolled down the canyons from the burn scars of November’s Woolsey and Hill Fires, while heavy snow blanketed the mountains.
