On Saturday 17 May – on the annual commemoration of the genocidal famine in Ireland – huge numbers of people rallied in Dublin and across the country in a national march for Palestine.

There are daily actions in dozens of cities and towns across Ireland amid a renewed popular push for the government in Dublin to finally enact the Occupied Territories Bill banning trade with Israeli settlements.

We were joined from Dublin by Ali Abunimah, executive director of The Electronic Intifada, as well as Abubaker Abed, who moved there from the Gaza Strip last month.

This is a segment from The Electronic Intifada's livestream on day 594 of the Gaza genocide. Nora Barrows-Friedman, Jon Elmer and Asa Winstanley were joined by barrister Franck Magennis, as well as Ali Abunimah and Abubaker Abed live from Dublin, Ireland.
