A tanker explosion at a gas station near Borgo Quinzio, in Italy, killed two, including a first responder, on Wednesday, December 5. The explosion occurred along the Via Salaria, a thoroughfare northeast of Rome, in the early afternoon, according to emergency services. The ensuing fire raged at the gas station and required the deployment of eight fire units to the scene. In addition to the two people killed, 15 others were reported injured in the incident.
