Columbia University acting president booed during speech

Columbia University held its university-wide commencement on Wednesday (May 21), a year after cancelling the ceremony in 2024 after weeks of pro-Palestinian protests roiled the Ivy League college's campus and raised security concerns. Columbia was the epicenter of last year's protests against Israel's war on Gaza, which was triggered by the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel.
