The famous rags-to riches story of mainline Philadelphia and poor-but-proud Kitty. The program may be dated April 9, 1946. + Kitty Foyle was a 1940 academy award winning film drama starring Ginger Rogers as Katherine “Kitty” Foyle a secretary whose involvement with a married, upper-class man leads to tremendous conflicts. Sam Woods directed the film which gained five academy award nominations and achieved one win for best actress. This radio version was written by Frank Wilson and the producer director is Dee Englebach.
