Israeli protesters attempt to block Gaza aid trucks

Israeli protesters gathered near the Kerem Shalom border crossing on Wednesday (May 21) in an attempt to block trucks carrying humanitarian aid into Gaza, as international experts warn of looming famine. Protesters were removed by police from the scene, which also saw pro-aid supporters who wanted to help police to free up the road and let trucks drive towards the Palestinian enclave.
