US president Donald Trump has said that Russia and Ukraine will start negotiations for a ceasefire immediately. That's after the US president turned to high-stakes telephone diplomacy, holding a two-hour conversation with Russian president Vladimir Putin on Monday. Trump said the conversation went very well, while his Russian counterpart said moving Moscow and Kyiv towards peace would take time.
