Meet Shelby named after the car Shelby cobra. She makes me think of a grateful dead songs lyrics : she walks like she has oil fields in her back yard: She walks very proud and is a natural leader of the other dogs always regulating the play. She runs very quickly on the beach chasing birds and kyte surfers. She is very relaxed and chill. Shelby has been fixed and is very independent. She can run freely all day and At night she returns outside my door and lies quietly outside my apartment. Shelby is great with the kids and other dogs. Unfortunately everyone has left for the summer and as much as i love her the owner wants them I think she would adapt very quickly to an indoor environment as she loves to sit by my side and look at me

We first met Sandy when she was in heat about 6 months ago. Hunted by 5 male dogs, My neighbor had to keep her inside until her cycle finished then take her to the vet to be fixed. Taking her outside to move around and pee required at least two adults to try and stop mother natures primal instincts from the other dogs. Sandy was traumatized by this and still is very much needing someone to watch her. Sandy has so much love to give and is also very shy and insecure. Much more submissive then Shelby. I have to stay outside with her while she eats alongside the other dogs because when i leave she wont even attempt to eat the balance and walks away and sits down. Amazing with the other kids here and everyone's pets. Sandy would be a great fit if she never left her owners site.

Lucy is very friendly and chill. She has a lot of energy and can run on the beach all day. lucy has been fixed but origins are unknown. A resident here fell in love and kept her inside at night for three months. Lucy goes to the door when its time to pee. My friend lets her out she returns when she fells like. Every resident love her. Although she stays indoors, I feel lucy is best to be an outdoor dog as she has so much energy and also disappears for a few days before returning. All three dogs need to be fed by people and have no hunting skills to eat. They all respond well to authority.
