An exclusive city for Muslims

"Well, Muslims in Texas are looking to build their own epic city. Literally. It’s called Epic City. The Islamic Center of East Plano, deep in the heart of Texas, is located in the northeastern suburbs of Dallas.

The plan for now is for these Mohammedans to build a 402-acre community in the Dallas suburbs. To give you an idea, that’s about four times the size of Disneyland. It would include over 1,000 homes, a K-12 school, a university, retail shops, and of course, a mosque.

Now let me stop right there. When was the last time Christians decided to do something like this? Christians should be building communities like this. I look at the master plan and say, even though their worldview is toxic and they want to destroy the West, you’ve got to give them respect: it’s well-designed and well-organized. They’re here to spread their value system in the West.

And we’re just like: well, you know, religious freedom. But did the Founding Fathers really have in mind Mohammedans coming to the great state of Texas—or any of our states—to build an exclusive city for Muslims?"

The Islamic Center of Plano East (EPIC) has proposed the development of "EPIC City," a 402-acre planned community near Josephine, Texas, approximately 40 minutes northeast of Dallas. The project is designed to accommodate over 1,000 residential units and includes plans for a mosque, an Islamic school from kindergarten through 12th grade, a community college, retail stores, parks, and other amenities.

EPIC City aims to provide a comprehensive living environment where Muslims can practice their faith and live in accordance with Islamic principles, while also being open to people of diverse backgrounds. However, the development has generated controversy and negative political reactions, primarily from Texas Governor Greg Abbott and other conservative politicians, who express concern about the establishment of an Islam-centered community.

Critics have raised concerns about potential religious discrimination and the creation of a "no-go zone" governed by Sharia law, accusations that have been widely refuted by EPIC and its legal representatives. In response to the controversy, multiple state investigations into the project have been initiated, including a criminal investigation ordered by Governor Abbott.

Despite the opposition, EPIC leaders remain committed to continuing the development, emphasizing that they are complying with legal standards and that EPIC City's intentions are inclusive. They argue that the project is similar to other faith-based communities and is being unfairly targeted due to its Islamic affiliation. The "invasion" of anti-Christian Muslims into the United States raises concerns because the threat posed by Muslim intentions to expand and eradicate Christianity is increasingly noticeable in a country whose history and traditions have always been intertwined with Christianity and never with a religion that commonly conducts marriages between adult men and 6-year-old girls.
