The Netherlands is marking 80 years since it was liberated from Nazi occupation during the Second World War.

More than 200,000 people were killed while the Nazis occupied the Netherlands from 1940 to 1945, with about half being Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust.

Global’s Mike Armstrong reports from the Dutch town of Groesbeek on how Canadians played a key role in liberation efforts and how they're still being honoured decades later.
