Today, we’re reading Mark 1:14-15:

Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”— Mark 1:14-15

The message of Jesus wasn’t vague.

He didn’t start with soft words or surface-level advice. He came preaching a bold, disruptive, in-your-face declaration:
"The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent. Believe."

That’s how Jesus launched His ministry. Not with miracles. Not with healing. But with a call to decision.

And notice the timing. John had just been arrested. One voice goes silent, another rises. God’s plan doesn’t stall—it moves forward with purpose.

"The time is fulfilled" means God isn’t late. He’s never scrambling. Everything unfolds exactly when it should. Jesus enters the scene not a second too soon or too late. It’s go time.

But His message requires a response.

Repentance is more than feeling sorry—it’s a full turn. A change of mind, heart, and direction. And belief? It’s not passive agreement. It’s active trust. It’s choosing to bank everything on the gospel—on Jesus.

The kingdom doesn’t ask for permission to come into your life—it announces its arrival and calls you to surrender. This isn't about waiting for a better season or more clarity. Jesus says the time is now.
