El Salvador’s Transformation, Media Missteps, and Trump’s Foreign Policy Stance

El Salvador’s president, praised by Trump during a White House visit, has overseen a shift from the country’s past as the "murder capital of the world" through tough anti-crime measures. The media is criticized for portraying an imprisoned El Salvadoran MS-13 gang member as a “Maryland man,” falsely implying U.S. citizenship and downplaying his criminality. This focus on one individual overshadows major global issues like Ukraine, China, and Iran. The U.S. cannot force El Salvador to release the prisoner, and courts lack authority over foreign policy. Trump encouraged building five more prisons in El Salvador, prompting some U.S. immigrants to consider self-deportation. Domestically, Trump is restoring original names to U.S. military bases and reinstalling statues. He also blames Ukraine’s Zelensky, alongside two others, for millions of deaths, accusing him of prolonging the war to buy weapons under martial law.

The El Salvador president was at the White House. Trump likes the guy. El Salvador was once known as the murder capital of the world. The media wants you to believe that the guy that is stuck in El Salvador is the father of the year. The guy is in prison in El Salvador. The media is misleading saying that he is a Maryland man, but the truth is that he is an El Salvador citizen. If the media had their chance they would return all these murderers and gang members.
These tough actions are changing things all across this country. The US cannot tell the president of El Salvador to return him back to the US. The courts cannot tell the president how to do foreign policy. Trump told the president of El Salvador to build five more prisons. Immigrants across the US consider self-deportation.
When you have a media that will not shut up about one person you have to think about what is going on out there. They are stuck on the “Maryland” man, think about the amount of time that is put into this story, one individual. They don’t report anything going on in Ukraine, EU, China, Taiwan, Iran…nothing.
We are returning our military bases around the United States to their original names and replacing the statues back in place.
