Rumble / Trending News - Wide swaths of Illinois was covered in a thick blanket of snow on Sunday, November 25, as a winter storm hit the state. This video shows the scene in Pistakee Highlands in McHenry County, one of the areas hardest hit by the storm. Nearly 150,000 people remained without power on Monday afternoon, November 26, while O’Hare International Airport recorded around seven inches of snow, one of the biggest November snowfall’s in Chicago’s history, local media reported. The winter storm, dubbed Bruce, also dumped more than a foot of snow in parts of McHenry County and more than half of that in Cook County, the National Weather Service said on Monday.
