CNN’s coverage of transgender athletes creates an extremely false impression of reality.

Per the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy, “Your baby’s sex is determined at the moment he or she is conceived.”

Per the journal Surgery, “A newborn with ambiguous genitalia represents a medical emergency, requiring prompt investigation and early gender assignment.” https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0039606002861499

Per the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (2022), “gender” is a “grammatical category, often designated as male, female, or neuter, used in the classification of nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and, in some languages, verbs that may be arbitrary or based on characteristics such as sex or animacy.... Some people maintain that the word sex should be reserved for reference to the biological aspects of being male or female or to sexual activity, and that the word gender should be used only to refer to sociocultural roles. … The distinction can be problematic, however. Linguistically, there isn’t any real difference between gender bias and sex bias, and it may seem contrived to insist that sex is incorrect in this instance.” https://www.ahdictionary.com/word/search.html?q=gender

Per Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary (1917), “sex” is the “character of being male or female” and is a “Syn.” (synonym) for “gender. Sex refers to the physiological distinctions; gender, to the distinctions in grammar.”

A study published by the journal Sports Medicine in 2020 found that “strength, lean body mass, muscle size and bone density are only trivially affected” by the testosterone suppression meds that biological males use to compete in female sports. The study also found, “The reductions observed in muscle mass, size, and strength are very small compared to the baseline differences between males and females in these variables, and thus, there are major performance and safety implications in sports where these attributes are competitively significant.” https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s40279-020-01389-3

A 2021 study in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that lean body mass and muscle area “in transwomen remain above those” of biological women “even after 36 months of hormone therapy.” https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/55/15/865

A 2024 paper in the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports concluded that the Olympic Committee’s framework for transgender competitors “does not protect fairness for female athletes.” https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/sms.14581

Transgender sports mandates have forced females to undress in front of males and to be exposed to male genitals in locker rooms:

A study on “Sexual Violence” published by the CDC in 2014 defines “sexual violence” to include the “unwanted” exposure of “sexual body parts.”

Illustrating the prominence of the 2014 CDC study, U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D–CA) cited it before the widely watched testimony of Christine Blasey Ford against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, while stating, “In the United States, it’s estimated by the Centers for Disease Control one in three women and one in six men will experience some form of sexual violence in their lifetime.” On the next day, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D–NJ) said virtually the same.
