Facebook Had Created Censorship Tools for CCP

04/09/2025 Facebook's former Director of Global Public Policy, Sarah Wynn-Williams, testifies before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Counterterrorism: Internal chat logs of a Facebook engineers team show that they offered to create a censorship regime that would allow Facebook to block all traffic that the Chinese Communist Party did not want, censor speech on behalf of the CCP, and "build trust" with the CCP.
