Longhorn Cowfish (Lactoria cornuta).

Key Characteristics of the Longhorn Cowfish:
Appearance:
It has a box-like body and is covered in a hard, bony outer shell (carapace).
Most distinctive feature: two long, horn-like projections extending from its head (resembling a cow or bull's horns).

Often bright yellow or greenish in color with blue or white spots.

Habitat:

Found in shallow waters of coral reefs and lagoons.
Native to the Indo-Pacific region but sometimes seen in aquariums worldwide
Behavior:

Generally slow-moving and uses its pectoral fins to "hover" like a helicopter.

It’s territorial and can be aggressive toward other cowfish.
Defense Mechanism:
When stressed or threatened, it can release a toxin called ostracitoxin which is harmful to other fish in the area (even in aquariums).

Diet:

Omnivorous – eats algae, sponges, mollusks, crustaceans, and sometimes small fish.
Lifespan & Size:
Can grow up to 40-50 cm (16-20 inches) in length.
Lifespan in captivity is usually around 8–10 years with proper care
