Return To Haifa (1982) Unlisted Video

Return to Haifa is a film based on the novella of the same name by Ghassan Kanafani. It follows a Palestinian couple, Saeed and Safiya, who were forced to flee Haifa during the Nakba in 1948, leaving behind their newborn son, Khaldoun. Twenty years later, they are given the opportunity to return and discover that their son was raised by an Israeli family and now identifies as Israeli. The film explores themes of loss, identity, and the painful consequences of displacement and conflict.
