NUKING A 1911: How much CFE Pistol is too much?

So Hodgdon says 6.8gr is max load on CFE Pistol...so starting load was 8.0gr, going up in 1gr increments to 16.

Victim was a perfectly well built Rock Island Armory M1911A1 GI.

TLDW: 12gr ruptured the case blew the mag out, 16gr bent the frame.

This is a very important lesson: Be extremely careful reloading. 12gr would have been a hospital trip and stitches to my hand(s).
