New Zealand beat Pakistan by 8 wickets in the final T20 and series by 4-1.
Pakistan Tour of New Zealand 2025:- The 5th and Final Match of 5 Match T-20I series was played between New Zealand and Pakistan at Sky Stadium Wellington New Zealand on 26th March,2025.In this match New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets. In this match New Zealand Captain Michael Bracewell won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Pakistan while batting first made paltry score of 128 for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs and gave target of 129 runs to New Zealand to win. In reply New Zealand scored 131 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 10 overs and won the match easily by 8 wickets and the series by 4-1.
Pakistan while batting first started very poorly and lost 5 wickets cheaply at the score of 52 runs only in 10.2 overs. Hasan Nawaz was first to go without scoring in the second over of the match bowled by Jacob Duffy caught by Jamie Neesham. Then Ben Sears removed Mohammad Haris who scored 11 runs caught by Mitchell.
Omair Yousuf scored only 7 runs,Usman Khan contributed 7 runs and Abdul Samad made only 4 runs.Then Captain Salman Ali Agha with Shahdab Khan tried to consolidate the innings and added 54 runs from 35 balls for the sixth wicket.
But Jamie Neesham then removed Shahdab Khan caught by Mitchell Hay after scoring 28 runs from 20 balls which included 5 fours. Salman Ali Agha contributed 51 runs from 39 balls hitting 6 fours and 1 six.
Jahandad Khan scored 1 run. Haris Rauf remained not out on 6 runs with Mohammad Ali not out without scoring.
All the New Zealand bowlers bowled superbly. Jimmy Neesham took 5 wickets.Two wickets were taken by Jacob Duffy and one wicket each went to Ish Sodhi and Ben Sears.
Pakistan scored 128 runs for loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and gave winning target of 129 runs to New Zealand.
New Zealand while Chasing target of 129 runs to win scored easily 131 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. New Zealand openers Tim Seifert and Finn Allen bulldozed the Pakistan bowling and added quickfire 93 runs in 6.2 overs only for the first wicket and sealed the win for New Zealand.
Finn Allen was first to go out bold by Sufiyan Muqeem after scoring 27 runs from 12 balls only which include 5 fours and 1 six.Mark Chapman was second to go after scoring 3 runs from 7 balls and was stump by Mohammad Haris of the bowling of Sufiyan Muqeem.
Tim Seifert top scored with not out 97 runs from 38 balls only which included 6 fours and 10 sixes. Daryl Mitchell also remained noy out on 2 and won the match for New Zealand by 8 wickets in 10 overs only and sealed the series by 4-1.
Tim Seifert was adjudged the Player of the Series and James Neesham Player of the Match.
