Tehrangeles is more than just a neighborhood—it’s a living, breathing celebration of Persian culture in the heart of Los Angeles. From the moment I stepped into local shops and restaurants, I was welcomed with open arms by incredible business owners eager to share their stories, traditions, and, of course, amazing food.

I explored Damoka, a stunning Persian rug store whose owner played a key role in establishing the Persian Square sign, a landmark that honors the Iranian community’s legacy in L.A. At Treasure Blades, I met a barber who brings Persian tradition into modern grooming, and at Tochal Market, I was surrounded by the rich aromas of Persian spices and specialty ingredients.

Food was at the heart of this experience—I tried Persian pizza at Café Glacé, indulged in ghormeh sabzi and ghemeh on crispy tadig at Taste of Tehran, and enjoyed the famous lounge sandwich at Attari. Each bite was a reminder of the flavors I grew up with, making this journey even more meaningful.

I also ventured beyond Westwood to Q Market, one of the most important grocery stores for the Iranian community. Whether you’re looking for fresh herbs, traditional spices, or Persian pantry staples, this is the place to shop.

As an Iranian, seeing my culture so alive and thriving in L.A. was an incredibly proud moment. This wasn’t just about food—it was about heritage, resilience, and community. Come explore Tehrangeles with me and experience the warmth, history, and flavors that make this neighborhood so special!
