An 80-year-old Alzheimer's patient from Fort Myers was found wandering alone at the airport in Denver, according to TV station 9News in Denver. Police determined the man's daughter put him on a one-way flight to Denver, intending for his estranged wife to pick him up and care for him. When his wife refused to pick her husband, he was taken to a hospital. A social worker in Fort Myers said that while caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's can be overwhelming, assistance is available.
