This 1932 silent film, originally shot in black-and-white 16mm and later colorized, COLORIZED Add description when log sheet for 10540 is found, showcases Manhattan’s vibrancy. A panoramic sweep of New York City’s skyline opens, followed by rotating letter tiles spelling “Broadway at Night.” Neon signs blaze in Times Square, their hues popping in colorized glory, spotlighting a marquee for Grand Hotel with Greta Garbo and John Barrymore, released in 1932. A title card, “One Moment Please,” punctuates this pre-war glimpse of the city’s electric allure.
