The episode revolves around the roommates trying to get Jack away from Susan and to the party, not a broader on-and-off relationship arc beyond this single appearance. Loni Anderson, known later for WKRP in Cincinnati, makes a special appearance on Three's Company as Susan the on again off again love interest of Jack's.
