On March 3, 2025, tragedy struck at Slappy’s Express Car Wash in Forest Hill, Texas, where rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his daughter were fatally shot. The identities of the victims were confirmed by Tarrant County ambulance service MedStar, although their names were not initially released.

Local news footage shows a large response from Forest Hill Police, MedStar, and the Fort Worth Fire Department as they arrived at the scene located in the 6500 block of Forest Hill Drive. Eyewitnesses reported hearing several gunshots, with neighbors describing a harrowing scene. April Tarpley, a nearby resident, recalled hearing a series of loud shots from her home, while Becky Johnson, another neighbor, counted six shots followed by a brief pause before more shots rang out.
