Jake Borchardt, at 44, in 2018 began remembering his blissful innocence which led him into making, by what may be viewed by some as, dramatic, even extreme changes in his life. For him, they were choices in reclaiming inner joy, wholeness, and he didnt view them the same as others did. Over that year of transformation, some refer to as “waking up”, he began to let go, minimize and surrender to what brought him inner joy, peace, and he began to “feel” the changes from his new routines and practices in such a profound way that he made a few distinct choices that put him on a path of no return into the unknown. He voluntarily left his profession of 25 years, gave the house to his son, packed up his truck with his poochie Chai Lee, and embarked on the beginning of his most challenging & rewarding path of surrender.

This ultimately brought forth a portion of his ongoing journey, as his first novel titled: “A Feather in Time.” His true story of trusting the process, overcoming fear, lockdowns, and determination to unite with his beloved across the world during the pandemic.
