Hundreds of thousands of people participated in the People’s Vote March in London on October 20, calling for a referendum on the final Brexit deal. Organizers estimated that there were up to 700,000 taking part. The United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union in 2016. Prime Minister Theresa May previously ruled out a second referendum, as reported by the BBC. While the People’s Vote March was ongoing, former leader of UKIP Nigel Farage led the Leave Means Leave demonstration in Harrogate, attended by around 1,200 people, according to The Guardian.
