Gun Grabbing Colorado Senate's Semi-Auto Ban Debate

Colorado's Senate Bill 003 was debated on the Senate floor last week, which is a huge gun control bill meant to prevent future purchases and transfers of semi-automatic firearms. It says that it is only prohibited if they have detachable magazines that can fit 15 rounds or more - but considering the magazines are detachable, it effectively bans all semi-auto firearms since anyone can make larger capacity magazines.

They defend their gun control measure and also defend exemptions for Hollywood. They eventually did approve some Amendments that allow ownership and purchase if you take a firearm safety course - even though someone could do that and still commit a mass shooting. It is a large infringement on Second Amendment rights in the State, even though the gun control groups already have a magazine ban in place as well as other restrictions.
