GIGOT: “Alright kim, and you think the president’s gone too far in any way here question rick there’s a couple of instances I know you follow this or I would argue the president has stretch the stretc I think firing for example a member of the national labor relations board before her term expired. The administration is doing this with a deliberate purpose. Want to explain that.”

STRASSEL: “Yes, let me make a distinction. I have two different buckets. I think there’s a couple of actions Trump has taken that is simply legally debatable but does he have come as Jason was noting, the ability to shut down the consumer financial protection board by essentially defining it? I do not know if you can do that. There are other actions and this is what you are referring to he is deliberately taking steps because he’s been pretty open he and his advisers about the fact that he believes the restrictions on him are unconstitutional. He is essentially setting up a test case. He knows he’s going to get sued. He wants to take that up to the serene court. I good example is the fire of the board member which is testing this question of whether or not presidency do have more authority then Congress says they do over independent agencies. That’s a question for the Supreme Court. The prior rulings are bit all over the place. We will find out.”
