Is David Benavidez Now a Pay-Per-View Star?

According to Dan Rafael, David Benavidez vs David Morrell pay-per-view sold 160,000-170,000 buys. This is according to what Dan Rafael told his anonymous source at the PBC.

According to Rick Glaser, Benavidez vs Morrell pay-per-view sold under 70,000 buys. I kind of believe Rick Glaser on this one. Why? I don't know anyone who bought this fight.

In the streets and in the barbershops, I visit, no one was talking about this fight. There were no fight parties for this fight. People didn't know who David Morrell was.

He's a no-name fighter without a fanbase. No one was going to pay $80 for a fighter they did not know. The problem with these according to sources reports is the fans have no way of confirming how many PPVs were sold.

The PBC and Netflix can clear this up in 5 minutes. This is why I believe this PPV flopped. When the company won't stand on the numbers they've leaked to Dan Rafael, then you know what Dan reporting is full of sh*t.

I find it hard to believe that 170,000 people paid $80 for a fight and no one knows who the fighter is. It's all smoke and mirrors. Both fighters had low guarantees for this fight.

So that means they have to get the bulk of their money on the backend. The only is this, there is no backend if the fight doesn't sell. Putting this fight behind the paywall hurt the viewership of this fight tremendously.

Hopefully, David Benavidez keeps his word and fights the winner between Beterbiev & Bivol. I doubt he will though. David is already screaming I'm loyal to the PBC bullsh*t.

In other news, Keyshawn Davis will be fighting Denys Berinchyk for his WBO lightweight strap. If he were to be victorious, will Tank Davis fight him next? Or, will Tank duck him and hide behind Al Haymon and the PBC banner?
