High winds and heavy rain toppled trees and power lines and caused flooding as a tornado-warned storm moved through Reidsville, North Carolina, and nearby areas on October 11. Reidsville Police urged people to take “extreme caution” and stay off the roads. North Carolina and Virginia were hit by storms and flash flooding on Thursday and Tropical Storm Michael made its way north after Wednesday’s landfall on the Florida Panhandle.
