In this episode, Squall, Rinoa, and Zell arrive back at Balamb Garden to find it in turmoil, as a shift in allegiance seems to be afoot. After the failure and deaths of Selphie, Quistis, and Irvine, and missiles incoming, can Squall and company restore order and save the Garden from destruction? Who in the hell is the Garden Master anyway?

The title for this episode was taken from the title of the song Home Sweet Home, from the 1985 album Theatre of Pain by the band Mötley Crüe.
The actual saying of the phrase "Home, Sweet Home" comes from the 1823 opera entitled Clari, or The Maid of Milan. The lyrics were written by John Howard Payne, and Sir Henry Bishop composed the music.
