After a year of being frozen, the dead lobster tail started to move again. (I didn't put salt on it to stimulate coordinated movement of sodium and potassium ions across the nerve cell membrane to make it move).
It's my understanding that a lobster freezes so quickly that the damage to muscle tissue cells from the formation of ice crystals is minimized. To explain it in a easier way, because it went from ocean to freezer the lobster froze so quickly that the damage to its muscles was minimal and the lobster nerves came back to life when thawed.
