Answering An Adventist Elder on the Man of Romans 7

It is important that we study the Scriptures and get our understanding and position from them. Human speculations have caused many to misinterpret the Scriptures, leading to just a profession of religion, void of the real Change of sinfreeness that Christ offers . The man of Romans chapter 7 is a description of Paul's experience before he was converted. He tells us that at that time, before he was delivered through Jesus Christ, he was 'sold under sin'. Yet some would read such descriptions and still affirm that that man described was having a Christian experience and that that IS the experience of all Christians. This cannot be!
