It sounds almost too outrageous to be true: an extremist Islamist organization whose goal is to conquer the world for radical Islam is organizing an event in Hamilton Ontario, where its key theme is the defeat of non-Muslims.

But incredibly, it is true. Hizb Ut-Tahrir, which has been banned in multiple countries, operates freely in Canada, and it is scheduled to host the conference on January 18. However, few media outlets have made any mention of the group or its plans.
