Flash flooding hit Toronto, Canada, on Tuesday, August 7, as a thunderstorm swept through Ontario. Power outages were also reported in the city following the storm, according to a tweet from Toronto Hydro. This videos were captured by eyewitness Sandra Grise. She told Storyful she filmed the video next to the Rogers Centre after leaving a Toronto Blue Jays baseball match. In the clip, she and her companions can be heard laughing as they attempt to wade through the floodwater on their way back to the city of Burlington. “It’s up to our knees here in Toronto,” Grise can be heard saying. “We just slipped down a sewer. Oh my god, how are we supposed to get through this?” Vehicles were trapped in the floodwaters, forcing some roads to close, Global News reported. Credit: Sandra Grise via Storyful
