Ferguson Fire Turns Sky Orange Over Yosemite's 120 Highway

A wildfire burning near the Yosemite National Park forced the evacuation of the community of Wawona on Wednesday, August 1, while park authorities restricted access to visitors. Mercury News reported that the Ferguson fire, which erupted on July 13, had burned to within a mile of Yosemite’s Merced Grove.
