UNIT Sonnet (Writers Block).

A saxophone and whiskey,
an organ and a cigarette...
if I’m to enjoy an epiphany,
well, it hasn’t happened yet.
There’s a Wigeon on the water
and a Robin on the rail.
Just for the moment I thought a
melody might succeed or fail.
There’s a fox in the station
and a badger in my brain.
For want of any inspiration,
I think I’ll play that chord again.
I sit here in expectation of the muse
which is why this is a sonnet, not a blues.
