No way! They even made some sort of basket in order to protect it. The dad climbs the roof to throw it. And off it goes. They are all cheering and having a lot of fun. However, in the end, the egg didn’t survive the fall. Well, it’s expected. Eggshells need to be strong to stop the growing chick from being squashed by the adult bird. The shell also protects the chick from infection but allows it to get oxygen and get rid of carbon dioxide. The eggshell is made of protein and calcium and is lined with a membrane. But there’s no way that eggshell protects the egg from falling off the roof. It’s just basic logic, right?
