Why Time Magazine Named Donald Trump as "Person of the Year" | Firstpost America

The TIME magazine has named US President-elect Donald Trump as the 2024 "Person of the Year." As soon as he was honoured the 78-year-old arrived at the New York Stock Exchange to ring the opening bell and celebrate the feat alongside his family and well-wishers. This is not the first time that the Republican has been prestigiously acknowledged by the magazine. The TIME magazine previously honoured him in 2016 following his first win in the presidential election. This year has been a rollercoaster ride for Trump. He was criminally convicted in the hush money trial, survived two assassination bids, and then crushed not one, but two presidential opponents. Now, in a matter of weeks, Trump will return to the White House, turning the world around him 180 degrees for the final time.
