Cauliflower is an excellent low-carb substitute in a ketogenic diet. It's versatile and can be seasoned with various flavors to suit different tastes. This recipe transforms cauliflower into a creamy and satisfying gratin.
Ingredients:
* 1 kilogram cauliflower
* 4 ounces sour cream
* 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
* 2 slices grilled meat
* 2 tablespoons chives
* 3 tablespoons butter
* ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
* Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
* Prepare the cauliflower: Cut the cauliflower into florets and place them in a microwave-safe dish. Add 2 tablespoons of water, cover, and microwave for 5-8 minutes or until tender. Drain excess water and let it cool slightly.
* Create the cauliflower mixture: If using a food processor, pulse the cooked cauliflower until it reaches a fluffy consistency. Alternatively, mash it with a fork. Add butter, garlic powder, and sour cream. Blend well.
* Add flavor and cheese: Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese and season with salt and pepper. Add chopped chives, reserving some for garnish.
* Assemble and bake: Transfer the cauliflower mixture to a baking dish. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese, grilled meat, and reserved chives. Microwave for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
This dish serves 4 people and is a hearty and flavorful low-carb meal.
