Wednesday Evening Bible Study Jeremiah 43-44-45 12-11-2024

Chapters 43 and 44 begin what Dr McGee calls the last prophetic passage of Jeremiah. In chapter 43 we see that the people remaining in Judah after Gedaliah's murder went to Egypt against God's directive given by Jeremiah. They also erroneously thought that when they were offering incense to idols and their wives even overing cakes to the Queen of heaven that their needs had been met, but after they stopped doing those things there needs were not met.
God has Jeremiah inform them that His judgment will find them even in Egypt and He will give Egypt and the people into Nebuchadnezzar's hand also.
Chapter 45 has five verses that give positive encouragement to Baruch, Jeremiah's helper, for his faithfulness.
