1888-223-8982: “Email Account that does not send/receive” error
If you are facing error in sending or receiving any message using the account of Gmail then there might be few reasons behind it. So get to know about the reason behind the error and respective solution from to the reason for preventing technical issue in coming days
First Reason: Gmail doesn't have internet or network connection.
Solution: Ensure that the particular system is connected to Internet or the network.
Use Web browser for checking whether the internet is easily accessible. If working over the local network, then look whether the internet websites are easily accessible.
Second Reason: Authentication of some POP and IMAP email accounts that uses an outgoing mail (SMTP) server.
Solution: Turning on the authentication of SMTP for POP or IMAP account.
Few of the email services, like iCloud mail accounts, actually needs the SMTP server authentication. Verify that the relevant account settings are correct and proper, even after unable to send the messages, then try SMTP authentication.
• Choose Accounts option from Tools menu.
• In the dialog box left pane of accounts, select the “account.”
• Choose More Options lying under the Outgoing server.
• On the option Authentication pop-up, select the “authentication” type, and then further enter the needed login credentials as compulsion.
Third Reason: Wrong credentials or settings in account.
Solution: Verify first that the login credentials are appropriate in the Account preferences.
• Select Accounts on the Tools menu.
• Select “account” from the dialog box located left pane of Accounts.
• Enter correct details.
After following the steps, even if the account is not properly working, investigate with the email service provider for the information about the “how to configure the account in the mail application.”
