Joe Biden Pardons "Criminal" Son Hunter Despite Previous Pledges Not to | Firstpost America

US President Joe Biden has pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, despite repeatedly insisting that he would never do so. The president, in a statement, said that his son had been "singled out" and "treated differently" and called Hunter's years of legal troubles a "miscarriage of justice." In July, Hunter was convicted of purchasing a gun illegally as a drug user in 2018, and he pleaded guilty in September to tax evasion charges. The sentencing for both federal criminal cases was scheduled for mid-December. Hunter said he accepts his mistakes; however, those were exploited by his father's political rivals for political gains. Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump said Joe Biden misused his executive powers.
