Multiple Fatalities Reported After Sikhs Targeted in Jalalabad Bomb Attack

At least 19 people, including at least 10 Sikhs, were killed when a suicide bomb was detonated near a new hospital which was being visited by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on July 1 in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, according to Afghan media. The bomb targeted vehicles carrying members of the country’s Sikh and Hindu communities as they tried to enter the Nangarhar’s governor’s house to meet the president, according to Pahjwok Afghan News and Tolo News.
