In addition to being rich in fiber, the peel of a pumpkin has compounds that help eliminate bad cholesterol from our arteries, which contributes to the prevention of heart disease. The most recommended pumpkin is the variety known as the neck pumpkin, which is the most appropriate for sweets.

It’s recommended to perform this treatment for 30 days. For this reason, make sure you buy fresh pumpkin every 2 or 3 days. According to the author of this recipe, the pumpkin can’t go in the refrigerator because the low temperatures change the substances contained in the peel, which can lessen the effectiveness of the treatment. Here's how:

Beat 100 grams of pumpkin peel with room temperature water (can’t be cold). Don’t put in too much water, but include just enough for the blender to do its job.

Mix the ingredients well until it turns into a pumpkin peel smoothie. Don’t strain the liquid and drink it immediately. Drink this mixture in the morning, on an empty stomach before breakfast.

If possible, take the routine exams again after the treatment to compare your numbers with previous results.
