Before Russia's missile struck Ukraine, the Pentagon reportedly had advanced knowledge and warned NATO allies and Kyiv. The missile, based on Russia’s RS-26 Rubz ICBM, has the capability to carry nuclear warheads, raising alarms across Europe.

Despite the warnings, the attack on Dnipro still demonstrated the vulnerability of Ukraine’s air defenses. NATO officials assure that the missile won’t affect their long-term strategy or support for Ukraine, but surrounding countries like Poland and Romania are now reassessing their own defenses.

The U.S. has also bolstered its Arctic and Alaskan defenses. Alaska, with its advanced missile detection systems, remains the first line of defense against potential threats from Russia’s eastern regions.

With NATO and Ukraine already informed, why wasn’t this attack prevented? And does this signal a more coordinated escalation by Russia? Stay with us for more updates on this evolving story
