Welcome back to Da Urban Conservative, where we break down the truths they try to hide and expose the systems designed to keep you in the dark. Today, we’re diving deep into corruption, abuse of power, and the shady practices that protect the privileged while leaving the rest of us to fend for ourselves. This is uncut. No sugar-coating. Let’s get into it.
First up: Metro Transit. The so-called “loophole.” A slick little mechanism allowing Metro Transit to keep the real story of their former chief’s departure sealed tight. No transparency, no accountability. Ask yourself: what are they hiding? What was so bad, so damaging, that they had to bury it? These are public institutions paid for with public dollars. The people deserve answers, not closed doors and legal tricks.
And it’s not just Metro Transit playing these games. Let’s talk about Sheriff Marty Kelly. Before his time as sheriff, Kelly worked for the Red Wing Police Department, where his name surfaced in allegations of inappropriate conduct while he was a school resource officer at Red Wing Public Schools. There were whispers—serious whispers—about misconduct involving a student. But guess what? When former Chief Pohlman started digging, the investigation seemed to go nowhere. Another system failure. Another example of power protecting itself.
When it comes to institutional abuse, let’s zoom out to the national stage. The FBI—yes, the same FBI that claims to protect democracy—was caught red-handed. Director Chris Wray’s bureau used Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) in ways that should outrage every single American. A court report revealed 274,000 illegal searches of Americans’ data. Let that sink in. Two hundred seventy-four thousand. These aren’t my numbers. They come straight from the FISA court, which was supposed to act as the watchdog. Instead, it’s looking more like a lapdog.
Remember Russiagate?
The FISA court allowed surveillance on an American citizen—Carter Page—not because he posed a legitimate threat but to dig into a presidential campaign. Let’s call it what it is: state-sponsored political espionage. This wasn’t about justice or national security; this was about using the system to manipulate power dynamics. And once again, the everyday American was left in the dark while the powerful played their games.
What ties all these stories together? A pattern of unchecked authority, institutional failures, and systems designed to protect insiders while punishing whistleblowers or anyone asking too many questions. Whether it’s local law enforcement, school districts, or federal agencies, the same playbook is used: deny, deflect, and bury the truth.
So what do we do? We keep talking, keep questioning, and keep demanding transparency. This podcast exists for one reason: to bring you the truths they’d rather you not know. They count on you being too busy or too tired to dig deeper, but we’re not letting that happen.
We’re just getting started. If you’ve got stories, if you’ve got receipts, we want to hear them. Send them our way. We’re not afraid to call out the big players, the hidden actors, and the corrupt systems, whether they’re on Main Street or in Washington.
That’s it for this episode of Da Urban Conservative. Stay woke, stay questioning, and remember—truth is the only power that can’t be taken away. Until next time, keep pushing.
