Compass Magnet Motor 516 RPM! with One U Coupling

There was still a substantial amount of wobble or vibration even when the Armature of our Compass Magnet Motor was pretty well balanced.

We theorized that some of the wobble might be due to the magnetic dip making the north end of the magnets point downward here in NYS.

So we tried one Universal Coupling that has a 3mm inner diameter.

It works! and the motor goes nearly 100 RPM faster than its previous record.

Fantastic!

The concept of the Compass Magnet Motor is that the electric DC N20 motor turns the armature while the magnets stay pointing northward do to the powerful torque or compass power.
