Police: Mother arrested for leaving kids in hot van in Clinton Township Meijer parking lot

A Mount Clemens mother has been arrested for allegedly leaving her three kids inside a locked minivan Sunday morning. Clinton Township Police say they got the call and found three girls, aged 2, 3 and 5 inside with the front windows rolled down about an inch in the parking lot of Meijer on Groesbeck near Cass Avenue. Police say it was 9 a.m. at the time and the heat index was 78 degrees.
