Escape From a Tyrant: The Journey to Safety🛡️

Joseph wakes Mary with urgent news: an angel has warned him that King Herod seeks to kill their child, Jesus. They must flee to Egypt immediately! 🌙
They escape just in time, as Herod realizes the wise men have left without reporting back. Furious, he orders the massacre of all boys in Bethlehem aged two and under, based on the timing given by the wise men. Soldiers storm homes, and the anguished cries of mothers echo, fulfilling Jeremiah’s prophecy.
In Egypt, Joseph receives another angelic message: Herod has died, and it’s safe to return. Yet, upon learning Herod’s son rules Judea, they settle instead in Nazareth, fulfilling the prophecy that God’s Son would be called from Egypt and known as a Nazarene. 🕊️
Thus, in quiet Nazareth, Jesus grows up, safe from those who sought his life.
